Pèleriner vers Compostelle - Guy Dutey
- In french. First published in 2002.
A lot had been written about the pilgrimage in general: it is indeed a multi thousand years' manifestation of the religiosity of the human nature. This book aims at describing how original is the modern "jacquaire", as he/she sees him/herself today. More than 300 witnesses, men and women, whom having left their backpack, could find again their way, pen in hands, to the emotion of this Grand Path.
They express how did they live "after the pilgrimage". What is left? What had become of the souvenirs from their travel? What kind of inner trip have they been able to follow since? Quite audacious adventure requiring some quite difficult to share answers. It is said the "Le Camino" is an inner path. One does not walk hundreds of kilometers without aiming at finding oneself a little. The path gives to the ones who are attentive and docile, a clear conversion.
-> Enriching book sharing with the reader what it may mean to do "the Compostelle". At some time I have been a bit scared by the religious side attached to this trip as expressed by many, yet could also find some elements which may guide the soul searching inner trip, I may one day undergo. All in all, clear and franc answers to many questions.
