I hjertet af Danmark - P. Gundelach - H. R. Iversen - M. Warburg
- In danish. First published in 2008.
The book shows how the Danes are sharing way of thinking, of behaving, understanding and being in the world. Their mental frames had been developed trough a long period of time and a close relationship with the institutions which most of the Danes are related to. The book is built upon a long range of interviews with different "kind" of Danes and deals with their view on life, kids, family, work, free time, differences, similarities, beliefs, engagements and so on.
-> Written as a sum of feedbacks from a long range of interviewes have had some difficulties into getting to see some of the points underlined, as they often were presented as personal feelings, from the people, and not really as confirmation, through exemples, of broader cultural traits and perspectives. Yet it brought me a bit more knowledge and confirmation about what I have been offered to witness during many years in Denmark.
